Indications
This inhaler is used for the long-term management of asthma and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). It is suitable for patients who are not adequately controlled with regular inhaled corticosteroids or other asthma control medications.
It is not intended for the relief of sudden asthma attacks or acute bronchospasm.
Pharmacology
This medicine is a combination of two active ingredients:
Salmeterol: A long-acting bronchodilator that helps keep the airways open for a longer period
Fluticasone Propionate: A corticosteroid that reduces inflammation in the lungs
Together, they help improve breathing and control asthma symptoms effectively.
Dosage & Administration
Usually taken twice daily (morning and evening)
Dosage depends on age, condition severity, and medical advice
Rinse the mouth after each use to reduce the risk of infection

Asthma (in patients aged 4 years and above)
Long-term maintenance of COPD
Control of airway inflammation and obstruction
Contraindications & Warnings
Not for emergency treatment of acute asthma attacks
Should not be used in patients with severe allergy to milk proteins
May interact with certain medications, requiring medical supervision

Possible side effects include:
Oral fungal infection (oral thrush)
Throat irritation or pain
Headache or cough
Increased risk of eye problems (glaucoma, cataract) with long-term use
Rare hormonal or systemic effects
Pregnancy & Lactation
